The day-to-day responsibilities of developing and delivering national products and services is carried out by the national office. The national office is headed by a Chief Executive who is supported by staff.
The national office is based in Canberra, ACT, and below you will find our team:
Chief Executive Officer
Clare Sullivan has 20 years’ experience in advocacy and intergovernmental relations, communications and community consultation, stakeholder engagement and management.
Clare’s experience spans all three levels of Government, the private sector and not-for-profit sector with a deep understanding of local government. Clare recently worked for the Australian Local Government Association for 10 years where she was responsible for government relations, stakeholder engagement, policy development, issues management, traditional and digital communications and events management.
Clare holds a Masters of Business Administration, Graduate Diploma in Management, and an Advanced Diploma in Communications.
Strategic Engagement and Communications Manager
Angela has more than 20 years of experience in corporate communications, journalism, public relations and editing for private, government, and not-for-profit organisations. She joined LG Professionals Australia in 2012 and is currently responsible for the company’s strategic communications, both traditional and digital. She holds degrees from RMIT and University of Technology Sydney, and her areas of interest include strategy, organisational development, change management and content marketing.
M. Mizanur Rahman
International Programs and Policy Manager
Mizan leads LG Professionals Australia International Program, especially in designing and implementing international strategies, developing business opportunities, and overseeing implementation of ongoing projects like the International Mentor Program. Prior to joining the organisation, Mizan worked for several national and international bodies, including CARE International. Currently, he is also pursuing his PhD at the Australian National University and holds master’s degrees in Humanitarian Action from Uppsala University, Sweden, and Development Studies from the University of Dhaka in Bangladesh.
International Program Coordinator
Irene joined LG Professionals Australia in 2017 as International Program Coordinator, and is responsible for coordinating the organisation’s international development, technical assistance, and cooperation portfolio. With over 10 years of experience in the not-for-profit sector, she has previously worked with RTI International and United Nations Development Programme; furthermore, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of California, San Diego, and a master’s degree in Urban Planning from the University of Southern California.
Karen joined LG Professionals Australia team in 2018 and brings a high level of administrative and business skills in the private sector to contribute to LG business partners and clients when needed. Karen also has considerable experience in the government environment in the development of appropriate data display techniques to support survey reports, manipulation of survey databases, preparation of materials for workshops, production of high quality reports and coordination of business functions and events.
Karen has a Diploma in Business Management, Diploma in Project Management and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
